Thanks for this! If i leave chrome on for too long my mac starts sounding like a jet engine. Not to the mention the heat & the spinning rainbow.

I had switched to chrome because of the features but I just couldn’t bear with this. My activity monitor would say Chrome was using up 98% of my CPU. In comparison Safari was a few % at the most.

Will definitely try what you’ve suggested.
