Hi Kerry,
Of course, Trump (or anyone else for that matter) can’t be given immunity simply because an investigation would help them politically. (Though it just goes to show how bad things have gotten.)
Re Biden, he’s now old. Very old. I don’t think he’s got it in him to last the remainder of his term (at least not while functioning at the level required of him). But I also do think there’s going to be a level of insistence from those with influence within the party to get him to run again.
I don’t see anyone else - at least not the obvious names in Harris, Warren, Sanders, AOC etc - coming close to beating Trump or DeSantis. Pete might be in with a chance, but, depending on how the GOP play their cards, it could very well be slim. (You do have to remember this is not the GOP that’s going to go into the 2024 presidential election. Things will be much hotter and the narrative will have become far more extreme by then. They’re going to be a force to be reckoned with.)
Any of the newer lot, who aren’t household names, simply haven’t got a chance.
Thanks for reading, I appreciate it.
