I remember reading one of your much earlier articles on the T-rex (correct me if it wasn’t) where you said they didn’t actually roar. And that the sounds were sort of edited roars from big cats. I later saw a video (link below) of a lion roaring (weirdly was different to the kind you see usually) and you could tell immediately that before you heard the “quintessential lion roar,” it made a sound that lasted a few seconds that was almost spot on to what a T-rex made in the films.
