David, the only solution there is is not palatable to Netanyahu. Israel would have to give back all of the occupied territories (as well as the Al-Aqsa Mosque), release all Palestinians it's locked up without charge, and treat them all like equal human beings.

Until the Palestinians have a state that can defend them from Israeli aggression and apartheid, it would be foolish for anyone to think Hamas - or any future version of it - will go away.

Netanyahu will do none of the above because he's desperate to cling to power and is afraid of going to jail on corruption charges.

I hear most of Israeli society isn't in favor of a Palestinian state anyway. God knows what lies Netanyahu has been feeding them.
